2019 arrived not so long ago and we’re already in February. What has the new year brought for you?
I know it’s only been a month into the year but I personally feel a sense of growth from within, It’s like the clock struck 00:00 and the date changed to 1 January 2019 and a growth in self-worth and self-love fell on me. Weird right? I know! The feeling is definitely welcomed though and if I must say so myself, it’s about time!
I watched a motivational video on YouTube where Steve Harvey was talking about scriptures that changed his entire life and one of them resonated with me because of the growth I have been experiencing from within. The scripture is as follows: Habakkuk 2:2-3 “2 Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision and engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run. 3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, because it will certainly come; it will not delay.”
This got me thinking and when I finished thinking I decided that I need to make a vision board! Not only that but to speak life into it as well. Now I think I know what you thinking “How do you speak life into a vision board Lelo?”. Well it’s pretty simple actually, we speak life into our lives by being about what we speak about. Working towards my dreams is how I plan on speaking life into my vision board.
Ever played or heard of the game ‘pin the tail on the donkey’? If you can get a visual of that, that’s pretty much what life is like, if you don’t have your goals written down and placed in a space where you will see them every day. The saying “out of sight, out of mind” is a real thing.
So first things first, I’m going to write down everything I’ve ever dreamed of achieving in life and I’m going to define what success is for me and you should do the same.
