A life hack for 2020

Tis the season to be really motivated and encouraged to be and do better. Tis the season to lie to ourselves and those around us about what we plan on doing. Tis the season for fake accountability partners, financial health and new gym memberships.

How many of you can relate to what I just said? Or felt a little guilty that you’re still where you were a year ago? I remember in the beginning of last year I was telling myself and those around me that “watch how I’m going to make waves this year”. Ladies and gentlemen the only waves I made last year were when I was trying to get out the bathtub after a bath. The struggle continues though, I haven’t lost my momentum, and neither should you. Let’s add spice to our lies this year, anything you can think of that you want to achieve, own etc… I’ll start; I want to own a Mercedes Benz C-Class Sedan and I want it in red. I want to travel to Thailand in Dec 2020. I want to lose weight and I want to pass all my modules with distinction. Oh! Before I forget, I also want to attend a wedding because I think love is just so beautiful and witnessing it is an honor I would love to be blessed with.

So, what are we doing to ensure we go get what is ours and knock our goals out the park!? I heard from the bible and the internet that writing them down is a good place to start. Habakkuk 2:2-3 “Then the LORD said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.”. With that said I’m off to write love letters to my red Merc and you should do the same.

I was kind of blank on how or where to start so I went to a very trusted source to point me in some direction; I went on to Twitter . So seems there are eight categories in life we should try to excel in to live a holistic life and they are as follows: relationships, career / business, health and wellness, spirituality, travel, volunteering / charity, education and self-development and last but not least we have finances. Now that I know what to do to start with my vision board, I’m well on my way to having a great year. Now you see why I trust Twitter. By the way if you’re trying to make it in life, consistency is queen! Stay faithful to your growth because at the end of the day if you don’t, you’re only cheating yourself.

I’m no longer in the business of making waves, I kick butt now and 2020 is on the list. What’s your list looking like?

-Let’s chat. Love Lelo.

  1. That’s a beautiful post. Indeed our vision need to be clear so that we can spot the correct opportunities when they come to us. 2020 is the year of action!
    Thanks for sharing this
